Back to School Edition 2023

Rhythm and Melody!

On August 4, 2023, 100 regional beginning teachers (BTs) and guests joined together in the Reich College of Education (RCOE) to receive support, encouragement, resources, and networking opportunities at our annual BT Summit! Our theme this year was "Creating Rhythm and Melody through Classroom Management!" Through a series of dynamic keynote speakers, differentiated breakout sessions, inspiring panel discussions, and creative activities, our attendees were able to engage with content and colleagues who reminded them of their "why" and encouraged them to embrace the assets each student brings to their classrooms. We truly kicked off the school year with a fresh perspective on setting a productive rhythm in the classroom, while allowing students' unique qualities to add to the overall melody of the year ahead!

As you engage in another year with the RCOE Public School Partnership, we hope to add rhythm to your work--bringing you consistent resources and programs you have come to depend on-- while also providing you with new notes, chords, and harmonies, which will hopefully add to the ongoing melody of your year! You all bring such unique and valuable assets to your classrooms, schools, and districts--as well as our Public School Partnership! We hope to celebrate those assets this year as we continue to grow together and learn from each other!

For more information about the rhythm and melodies of the Reich College of Education in 2023-2024, we will keep you up to date with our comprehensive weekly RCOE Connected Newsletters, produced each week from the office of Dean Spooner:
