A Seat at the Table The beginning of this school year has been exciting and full of glorious opportunities to bring together students, families, and communities in full force. We have moved from being cautious and limited to being open and excited about the new possibilities that are afforded us when barriers are broken down and doors are open! I have had the honor of visiting your classrooms, attending your task forces, meeting your beginning teachers, welcoming your district leaders to campus, and meeting you at conferences, career fairs, NWRESA gatherings, and sporting events this fall! I am always humbled by the opportunity to watch you all at work as you are constantly innovating to support your schools and neighborhoods. My goal is to take a seat at the table whenever I am called in and to ask for a seat at the table if I think I can add support, resources, or encouragement. In addition, my ultimate aim is to make our PSP table as long and as wide as it needs to be to include ALL of the stakeholders required to help us innovate and collaborate to meet ALL of the needs in this region. As we extend that PSP table down to Hickory in the coming year, we want to open up the invitation even more to allow for great possibilities and groundbreaking advances in our work. Thank you for inviting me into your spaces, and I will continue to invite you to join me as we put innovations into action to meet the needs of our NW regional educators, students, and communities. As I have shared before, our theme this year in the Public School Partnership is "Innovations in Action", and I know we will continue to grow together as we learn from each other and celebrate our work!
